Susumu Nakajima began folding cranes twenty-seven years ago and now teaches origami in Tokyo.

The models were folded from metal foil, Kent paper, and sketch paper. Front and back faces of the models were glued together.

The models were each folded from a layered rectangular sheet of paper. Japanese washi paper and origami paper were glued on top of each other prior to folding the models.
