Mark Morden was born in 1958 and learned origami in elementary school. Today he lives and works as an architect in Seattle where he founded the “Puget Area Paper-folding Enthusiasts Roundtable” (PAPER).

Hand-made origami paper by Michael LaFosse was used for the dark background and Wyndstone paper for the flower mosaic. The mosaic was folded out of a single sheet of uncut paper.

For this work, folded out of a single uncut sheet, grey Wyndstone paper was used. Gold backing paper was placed in the pockets on the reverse side so as to heighten the visual contrast.
